Using the sidebar
The sidebar combines group navigation with running and failed status filters. You can keep it pinned or reveal it temporarily while using the full terminal width.
Pin and hide
Use the Pin/Unpin control at the bottom of the sidebar, View → Toggle Sidebar, or Cmd+S. Terminalis remembers whether it is pinned.
When hidden, hover over the sidebar reveal button at the left of the terminal header, or activate it by click or keyboard. The temporary preview overlays the terminal. Pin it to keep it open; move away or press Escape to dismiss the preview. Opening a sidebar menu or resizing holds it open while you interact.
Resize
Drag the sidebar's right edge to change its width. The same handle works in a temporary preview. Terminalis remembers the chosen width and limits it as the main window gets narrower so the terminal retains usable space.
Pinning uses space beside the terminal; previewing overlays it. To return more space to output without losing navigation, unpin and use the reveal control when needed.
Status filters
Choose All, Failed, or Running above the terminal list. Running includes both managed commands and manual commands that have reached the blue activity state. Failed includes terminals with a red failure indicator. A status filter with no matches is unavailable, including through its shortcut.
Outside the saved-command selector, Cmd+1 selects All, Cmd+2 Failed, and Cmd+3 Running (use Ctrl on other platforms). These shortcuts no longer switch tag groups. AI harness robot indicators keep the underlying shell's running/failed state; amber attention does not create a separate status filter.
If the active terminal does not match a filter, Terminalis keeps the current selection accessible above the matching results. Changing a filter does not stop commands. When the sidebar is hidden, a status summary beside its reveal button shows running or failed counts; activating it opens the relevant filter, with failures taking precedence. See Status dots for their meanings.
