Integrations

AI harnesses

Track supported coding agents running inside Terminalis with robot indicators and attention alerts. AI harness tracking in 3.7.0 is separate from Command Assistant and does not require a ChatGPT connection in Terminalis.

Install integrations

Open Settings → AI Harnesses. Expand Harnesses integration to see agents whose configuration directories are detected on your Mac. The count shows installed integrations out of detected ones. Choose Install to install all detected missing integrations, or use an agent's question-mark button to install just that integration. Merely opening Settings does not change agent configuration.

A green checkmark means an integration is installed. Hover or focus a checkmark or question mark for immediate help about identity tracking, waiting, completion, error support, and setup issues. Capabilities differ by agent; an installed integration does not guarantee every event type. If a tool is missing from the list, set it up first and return to Settings to refresh detection.

Supported integrations include Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, opencode, and other agents listed in the app. Follow any version or trust guidance in the help tip. For Codex, review and approve the Terminalis hooks with /hooks when prompted; Terminalis does not grant trust on your behalf.

Attention indicators

A robot shows a live agent in the sidebar, tag tabs, quick search, and recent-terminal switcher. Its base color follows the terminal's ordinary managed/manual shell status. It remains a robot between turns until the agent exits.

Amber means the agent has an unvisited request for your attention. Select its terminal while the main Terminalis window is focused to acknowledge that request. Hovering, an unfocused selection, or previewing a switcher entry does not acknowledge it. Resolving or cancelling the request also clears amber. Dismissing a desktop alert does not acknowledge the terminal's attention state.

Running and Failed filters continue to describe shell status. Quiet output or an agent process exiting does not by itself establish that a turn succeeded. Read the agent's output for the result, especially when its help tip describes inferred or unavailable event support.

Harness alerts

The Harness notifications switch controls agent alerts, with separate choices for Needs input or approval, Turn completed, and Harness stopped on an error. These controls become available when a detected integration is installed. Turning notifications off does not remove robot indicators.

Alerts are intended for work needing attention while you are elsewhere. Visiting the focused terminal handles the event; switching away later does not replay it. In the shipped macOS app, clicking a valid alert returns to its originating terminal.

Harness alerts have no application expiry timer. Enable alerts and choose Persistent in macOS System Settings → Notifications → Terminalis. Follow Allow or Open settings notices in the AI Harnesses page, then return to Settings to refresh. See Notification permissions for the shared notification requirements.

Diagnostics

After installing the command, keep Terminalis running and inspect tracking with:

terminalis harness status
terminalis harness doctor

status reports the running app's harness state. doctor adds integration diagnostics and the running app's notification capability. If the runtime is unavailable, open Terminalis and retry. Check each integration's help tip for missing configuration, an available update, or pending trust. These commands inspect state; they do not run an agent or approve its actions.
